The Programme currently operates in 12 States but has the flexibility to expand in response to market opportunities.
Current geographic priorities derive from a combination of reform-readiness, market opportunity and vulnerability indices. The evidence is consistent with the initial proposal, as such, the Programme is:
- Targeting reform-ready states with the full basket of the programme intervention across Tier 1 (Northern) and Tier 2 (Southern) states.
- Delivering livelihood & resilience intervention in Tier 1 states with the flexibility of being opportunistic, led by the private sector.
- Targeting Tier 2 forest-rich southern states, prioritizing deforestation-free commodities and land use governance.
