SUMMARY:International Women's Day Dialogue
DESCRIPTION:International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated globally every year on March 8 to recognise women’s achievements and advocate for gender equity. For Propcom+\, this occasion presents a strategic opportunity to highlight our commitment to breaking gender barriers\, promoting inclusive market systems\, amplifying the voices of women entrepreneurs and professionals\, and fostering meaningful connections that drive long-term\, transformational change in Nigeria. The theme for IWD 2026 is “Give to Gain”\, which calls for individuals\, organisations\, and communities to collectively contribute resources\, knowledge\, and support to foster gender equality\, knowing that when women thrive\, everyone rises. \nPropcom+ is bringing stakeholders together for a dialogue themed “Women\, Agency and the Power of Giving for Gender Transformation.” This dialogue will bring together women agribusiness leaders\, government agencies\, and professionals to share experiences\, lessons\, and success stories in driving gender-transformational change in Nigeria’s agricultural markets and beyond. It will highlight inspiring achievements of women supported by Propcom+ and celebrate those advancing gender equality across communities and markets. \nSee Agenda below: \nAgenda for IWD Event 2026

SUMMARY:Micro Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Day
DESCRIPTION:Micro-\, small and medium-sized enterprises are key sources of jobs\, income\, and local growth—especially for women\, young people\, and vulnerable groups. Their size and flexibility help build strong\, fair\, and sustainable communities. \nHowever\, many of these businesses face serious challenges. They often struggle to get loans\, deal with poor infrastructure\, and work under tough conditions. Many operate informally\, which limits their access to funding\, legal rights\, and government support. \nToday’s global challenges—like political tensions\, climate change\, and digital shifts—make it even harder for them to survive. Supply chain issues\, higher costs\, and uncertain markets have left many at risk. A huge global funding gap remains\, despite clear opportunities to grow. \nTo help these businesses succeed\, better policies and more accessible funding are crucial. Support for skills training\, innovation\, and fairer rules can also make a big difference. Since many operate outside the formal system\, making it easier to register\, access benefits\, and follow labor laws will help create better jobs and stronger economies.
